Grant Gunderson

Supposedly this photo was the product of extreme determination. Its about a four hour exposure, and Professional Ski Photographer Grant Gunderson waited out there for the whole time, so that when his skier skied through the area he would trigger his flash. I think its a pretty EXTREME photograph.

First Critique

I thought the first crit went well. I learned that I should try to focus more on the narrative in the photo, than simply the technique being practiced. A great photo will utilize both. There were a few technical things that I learned as well, such as putting a gel over the lens and flicking the lights to create a colored glow from that light or using a half lens cap almost as a graduated filter. I think i need to make sure i concentrate on the narrative for our next crit and try to create some very thought provoking headshots and portraits.
